Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck uses Tidus, Yuna's Guardian to distribute counters and proliferate them whenever creatures deal combat damage. The game plan starts by developing low-cost counter generators like Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte and Gyre Sage, followed by casting Tidus to draw cards and enlarge the board. In the mid-game, counter multipliers like Loading Zone, The Earth Crystal, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus accelerate growth exponentially. The deck closes games around Turns 6 to 8 by overrunning opponents with unblockable or trample attacks via Sphere Grid and Rikku, Resourceful Guardian, by clearing opposing blockers with an asymmetric Damning Verdict, or by winning via Simic Ascendancy. Robust protective spells like Inspiring Call and Bulwark Ox shield the board against conventional removal.
