Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact engine and go-wide swarm list commanded by Sai, Master Thopterist. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap artifacts, cost reducers, and mana engines to trigger Sai repeatedly, building a massive army of 1/1 flying Thopter tokens. Card draw engines like Skullclamp, Vedalken Archmage, and Rhystic Study ensure a continuous flow of resources, while mana generators such as Urza, Lord High Artificer and Krark-Clan Ironworks convert tokens into overwhelming mana advantage. The deck closes games primarily through evasive combat damage by pumping Thopters with anthems like Master of Etherium, Stridehangar Automaton, and Steel Overseer, or by blowing out opponents with an overloaded Cyclonic Rift. With a solid suite of efficient countermagic and spot creature removal, the deck defends its developing board state while outpacing opponents in resource generation.
