Deck overview

This deck is a specialized mono-black control and Voltron build focused on Phage the Untouchable. Because casting Phage directly from the command zone normally triggers a loss condition, the deck runs a dense package of bypass tools. Cards like Torpor Orb, Sundial of the Infinite, Command Beacon, and Campfire allow Phage to enter the battlefield safely. Once deployed, haste and evasion equipment such as Lightning Greaves, Whispersilk Cloak, and Key to the City enable Phage to eliminate opponents in a single swing. Robust mana acceleration from Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and rituals powers this high-cost strategy ahead of curve. Asymmetric disruption from Opposition Agent, Karn, the Great Creator, and Silent Arbiter slows down opponents while buying time. If Phage is contained, backup combos such as Bolas's Citadel with Aetherflux Reservoir and Magus of the Coffers with Staff of Domination provide alternative routes to close out the game.
