Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius cEDH stax-combo engine helmed by Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Candlekeep Sage. It pairs rapid artifact mana acceleration with disruptive stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Cursed Totem to suppress opposing fast combo attempts while building its own board. Abdel Adrian converts nonland permanents into a formidable army of 1/1 Soldier tokens while Candlekeep Sage refills the hand on every entry and exit trigger. The deck's primary win condition is the compact two-card combination of Thought Lash and Thassa's Oracle, which wins instantly without needing combat. In addition, Eldrazi Displacer and Displacer Kitten enable infinite blink loops with Abdel Adrian and positive-mana rocks to generate infinite mana, infinite tokens, and draw the entire library. Supported by premier free countermagic and proactive protection spells like Silence and Ranger-Captain of Eos, the deck transitions seamlessly between controlling the early tempo and executing protected, decisive combo victories.
