Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Brokkos, Apex of Forever, utilizing the mutate mechanic to construct massive, versatile threats. Early turns focus on establishing cheap, evasive non-Human creatures like Glimmerbell, Boot Nipper, and Parcelbeast alongside mana ramp. In the midgame, Brokkos mutates onto these hosts from either the hand or graveyard, completely bypassing commander tax to present a resilient 6/6 trampling attacker. Mutate triggers from creatures such as Auspicious Starrix, Insatiable Hemophage, and Chittering Harvester provide compounding permanent acceleration, life drain, and board control. The deck closes games primarily through commander combat damage, lethal buffs like Colossification, damage distribution from Hydra Omnivore, or wide armies produced by Scute Swarm. While Brokkos provides built-in graveyard recursion, the strategy remains inherently exposed to sweepers and instant-speed removal targeting mutate hosts on the stack.
