Life's a Resource

Format: Commander

Commander: Liesa, Shroud of Dusk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Liesa, Shroud of Dusk leads a black-white life-gain/drain deck. The primary path is pairing one conversion engine (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) with a drain payoff such as Vito, Sanguine Bond, Marauding Blight-Priest, or Vizkopa Guildmage. Any Soul Warden trigger, extort payment, or Liesa tax primes an infinite loop that drains the whole table. A secondary plan uses extort permanents, lifelink attackers, and life-doubling effects (Boon Reflection, Rhox Faithmender) to grind opponents down, with Revival // Revenge and X-spells as burst finishers. Liesa doubles as a reusable tax and lifelink flyer, but the deck does not lean on a hidden commander.
