Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Breena, the Demagogue, orchestrating an aggressive midrange strategy centered on political combat triggers, +1/+1 counters, and keyword aggregation. By deploying cheap evasive or double-strike creatures early, the deck turns Breena's attack triggers into rapid card advantage and exponential power growth. Payoffs such as Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Concerted Effort, and True Conviction spread lethal keywords like flying, lifelink, and double strike across the entire board. Simultaneously, light stax and tax pieces including Blind Obedience, Aura of Silence, and Trouble in Pairs hinder opponents' tempo and deter retaliation. The deck cleanses opposing boards with a dense suite of asymmetric and traditional sweepers like Toxic Deluge, Damnation, and Tragic Arrogance. While highly effective at snowballing combat pressure and drawing cards on curve, the deck is reliant on combat steps and lacks instant-speed spot removal, requiring deliberate threat management to close out games.
