Rankle Discard by raceramp848

Format: Commander

Commander: Rankle, Master of Pranks

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard-and-punish deck helmed by Rankle, Master of Pranks, built to strip opponents' hands and convert every discarded card into board presence, life loss, and card advantage. Rankle's haste means he attacks the turn he lands, firing his combat trigger immediately, and the deck backs him with a dense suite of discard spells - Duress, Pilfer, Mind Twist, Unnerve, Mind Sludge - plus payoffs like Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, and Painful Quandary. Theft engines Tergrid, God of Fright, Tinybones, Bauble Burglar, and Brainstealer Dragon turn opponents' discards into your board, while a reanimation package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy) and big-mana finishers (Cabal Coffers, Caged Sun) round out the plan. The deck wins incrementally through evasive combat damage and discard punishment rather than a single combo line.
