Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Midrange deck commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince that weaponizes artifact destruction through Ape and Monkey tribal synergies. The primary strategy accelerates into Kibo by Turn 3, begins handing out Banana tokens on Turn 4, and uses forced sacrifices or mass artifact removal to distribute massive +1/+1 counters across its creature base. Opponents who crack their Bananas for mana unintentionally buff your attackers, while those who hold them risk devastating blowouts from Vandalblast, Bane of Progress, or Kogla, the Titan Ape. Trample enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Kessig Wolf Run ensure combat damage bypasses chump blockers. While giving opponents artifact mana requires careful management, the deck balances this with stax elements like Manglehorn and Karn, the Great Creator. It delivers a cohesive, highly thematic, and aggressive game plan that punishes artifact-heavy tables.
