Oloro, Esper King by user6581417

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Esper lifegain control deck built around Oloro, Ageless Ascetic as an always-on engine in the command zone. The primary plan is to gain life continuously, convert that life into value through Oloro's activated ability and incremental drain effects, then close the game with one of several overlapping combo loops. The deck's backbone is the Exquisite Blood / Sanguine Bond family of drain infinite combos, backed by redundant pieces like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. A Aetherflux Reservoir acts as an alternate finisher once life totals are inflated. With the commander providing a draw engine and constant life gain from the command zone, the deck can stall the early game with cheap removal and board wipes while assembling its winning pieces.
