Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger and Voltron strategy commanded by River Song. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging the commander's unique bottom-deck draw ability alongside opponent-punishing triggers. The deck deploys early cantrips such as Ponder, Preordain, and Consider to sculpt hands, ramping into a Turn 3 River Song. Once assembled, the deck rapidly scales the commander's power using proliferate engines like Flux Channeler and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, as well as forced search spells like Cleansing Wildfire and Price of Freedom. With evasion from Aqueous Form or protection from Clout of the Dominus, River Song threatens lethal commander damage across three opponent response cycles by Turn 9. A secondary win condition utilizes Timestream Navigator to chain extra turns with haste enablers. Interaction is supported by efficient countermagic and spot removal, while the deck recovers smoothly through card velocity.
