Deck overview

This mono-red tribal deck focuses on ramping into Lathliss, Dragon Queen and overwhelming opponents with large flying Dragons. The deck runs a high density of mana rocks and dragon cost-reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to overcome the steep mana costs of its threats. Once Lathliss enters the battlefield, every subsequent Dragon spell creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly building a wide, high-power aerial army. Secondary damage engines like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert new Dragons into direct damage against opposing creatures and life totals. While the deck boasts high redundancy among its threat base and strong resilience without its commander via bombs like Utvara Hellkite, it lacks fast mana and dedicated stack protection. It wins primarily through explosive combat steps, using haste enablers and Lathliss's global firebreathing ability to close out games across turns 6 through 8.
