Deck overview

This Grixis build uses Sauron, the Dark Lord as both a card-advantage engine and a finisher. The primary plan is to cast Sauron early, turn his army triggers into a growing Army token, then equip it with swords for lethal combat. The Great Goblin and Orcish Bowmasters provide a secondary burn path, while Urza, Lord High Artificer supplies mana acceleration and card selection. The deck is heavily artifact- and equipment-centric, so it wins through repeated commander damage and extra combat rather than combo. It is vulnerable to artifact hate and sweepers, but Sauron's discard-and-draw-four trigger keeps the hand full if he can attack even once.
