Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord builds a single enormous Orc Army through amass effects, accelerated by Mauhur and Saruman, the White Hand. The Ring tempts package also supports a secondary Wraith swarm headed by Lord of the Nazgul and Nazgul. Sauron doubles as a card-advantage engine: once the Army deals combat damage, he lets you discard your hand and draw four. The plan is to grow the Army to lethal size, clear blockers with spot removal or Mount Doom, then finish with Assault on Osgiliath's double strike plus haste or with evasive Wraiths. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built squarely around the black-aligned amass + Ring-tempt axis of Sauron's Grixis identity.
