Deck overview

This Sultai deck leverages Thranduil, the Elvenking as a graveyard-powered combo engine. By utilizing Thranduil's ability to inherit the activated abilities of all Elf cards in the graveyard, the deck seeks to assemble specific Elf packages into the graveyard using cards like Buried Alive. The core loop combines Marwyn, the Nurturer for large mana production, Devoted Druid for repeated untaps via -1/-1 counters, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader or Deepwood Denizen to generate infinite green mana and draw the entire library. Once the library is in hand, the deck closes the game immediately through an arbitrarily large Walking Ballista or a trample attack. Parallel lines with Necrotic Ooze, Bloom Tender, and Freed from the Real provide functional redundancy, while cheap Sultai countermagic and hexproof spells protect the combo during the decisive turn.
