Deck overview

This Bant deck combines Bird kindred synergies and flying evasion with the tactical untap engine of Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. The primary game plan establishes early evasive creatures, deploys Derevi to untap mana sources during combat, and uses that surplus mana to deploy anthems and card-draw engines in the second main phase. As the flying armada widens, cards like Kangee, Sky Warden, Murmuration, and Kastral, the Windcrested scale power rapidly. The deck maintains tempo through efficient counterspells and flexible removal while leveraging Make a Stand and Sephara, Sky's Blade to protect its board against opposing sweepers. While it lacks infinite combos or fast combo kills, its resilient commander ability and consistent evasion allow it to steadily close out games through multi-turn combat pressure.
