Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-red burn combo archetype focused on eliminating the entire table in a single turn using Heartless Hidetsugu. The core win condition pairs Hidetsugu with damage multipliers—such as Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Gratuitous Violence, or Solphim, Mayhem Dominus—and haste enablers like Lightning Greaves, Lavaspur Boots, or Bloodlust Inciter. When Hidetsugu taps, his ability deals damage equal to half of each player's life total rounded down; with a doubler active, this deals an exact 40 lethal damage to opponents at 40 life. To survive symmetrical damage doublers, the deck employs lifelink equipment like Basilisk Collar and Shadowspear, damage prevention like Glacial Chasm, or asymmetric multipliers. Supported by dense red rituals, mana rocks, and card wheels, the deck reliably assembles and triggers its lethal combo by Turn 5, using incidental pingers to finish off any players left at 1 life.
