Hulk by plox3r

Format: Commander

Commander: Hulk, Gamma Goliath

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Gruul +1/+1 counter-themed deck built around the "power-up" mechanic from the Marvel Universe Beyond cards. The commander, Hulk, Gamma Goliath, reduces the power-up activation cost of other creatures by {3}, making those one-time abilities significantly cheaper. The deck plays a midrange value game: deploy creatures with power-up, activate them for large bursts of counters, and then win through overwhelming combat damage. Key enablers include counter doublers like Primal Vigor and Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor, card-draw engines such as Greater Good and Terrasymbiosis, and a modest interaction suite of fight spells and pump effects. The primary win condition is turning wide boards of huge Heroes sideways; a secondary reach option is Origin of Thor to convert power into direct damage.
