Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis discard, wheel, and spellslinger control engine commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana on early turns, establishing asymmetric discard and draw payoffs such as Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, and Liliana's Caress, and deploying Kefka to systematically strip opposing hands while drawing massive card advantage. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by chaining Kefka's attack triggers with devastating wheel effects like Windfall or attrition centerpieces like Tergrid, God of Fright and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. Opponents are left starved of cards and board presence, enabling a rapid finish on Turn 6 through overwhelming combat damage, stolen permanents via Rise of the Dark Realms, or direct life drain from Psychosis Crawler and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Backed by a premier suite of free countermagic, flexible interaction, and plan shielding, the deck maintains total control over the table.
