Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red forced combat and pillowfort control strategy led by Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs. The primary plan forces opponents to attack every combat while making attacks against you costly and counterproductive. By pairing Kazuul with mandatory attack engines like Grand Melee, Fumiko the Lowblood, and Angel's Trumpet, the deck compels opponents to swing their creatures into combat. If they attack you, they must pay {3} mana per creature or grant you 3/3 Ogre tokens. Stax pieces like War's Toll and Mana Web restrict their mana timing, making the {3} tax nearly impossible to pay. Once a critical mass of Ogre tokens accumulates, the deck transitions to the offensive using explosive damage amplifiers such as Shared Animosity, Coat of Arms, and Purphoros, God of the Forge. The deck controls tempo, taxes resources, and closes games through massive combat swings or direct burn.
