Deck overview

This Izzet artifact deck is commanded by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man, focusing on cheating massive artifacts and Equipment into play without paying their mana costs. In the early game, Tony Stark provides card selection by digging through the top cards of the library for artifacts while mana rocks and cost reducers build velocity. By Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man, a 5/5 flying creature with haste that immediately puts an artifact from hand onto the battlefield at the start of combat. When cheating heavy Equipment like Excalibur, Sword of Eden or Aettir and Priwen, Iron Man equips them for free and delivers massive commander damage in the air. High-impact utility pieces like Portal to Phyrexia and Krang, Utrom Warlord dismantle opposing boards, while an efficient interaction suite of countermagic, deflection spells, and historic board wipes ensures the commander safely closes out the game.
