Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Winter, Cynical Opportunist executes a resilient self-mill and delirium reanimation game plan. During the early turns, the deck rapidly stocks the graveyard with diverse card types using efficient enablers like Stitcher's Supplier, Grisly Salvage, and Ripples of Undeath. Achieving delirium enables Winter to cheat massive permanents—such as Avenger of Zendikar, Massacre Wurm, Demolisher Spawn, and Eldrazi Conscription—directly onto the battlefield at the end step of Turn 4. The deck transitions into a lethal combat clock on Turn 5, overwhelming opponents through wide token armies, trample damage, and death-trigger life loss from Syr Konrad, the Grim. Redundant reanimation spells like Reanimate, Victimize, and Coiling Rebirth ensure high operational independence even if Winter is answered. While the deck boasts robust removal and rapid engine recovery, it remains inherently vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacks instant-speed stack interaction.
