Deck overview

This 5-color Commander deck is led by the partner pairing of Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart. The strategy focuses on generating creature and artifact tokens to trigger Leonardo's global +1/+1 counter ability, building a massive, resilient board of attackers. Michelangelo establishes early aggression and reliable token generation through Raid, while spellslinger token producers like Young Pyromancer, Third Path Iconoclast, and Monastery Mentor convert spells into board presence. The mid-game scales through large X-spells including March of the Multitudes, Blot Out the Sky, and Finale of Glory, reinforced by powerhouses like Doubling Season and Cathars' Crusade. The deck finishes games by activating Leonardo's five-color ability to grant the entire army menace, trample, and lifelink, crushing opposing defenses over two combat phases. Additionally, Basking Broodscale paired with Cathars' Crusade provides an infinite token and counter loop.
