This Golgari aristocrats deck uses Gorma, the Gullet as a low-cost combo enabler in the command zone. Gorma places a +1/+1 counter on entering nontoken creatures once a creature has died that turn. This immediately cancels the -1/-1 counter from the persist mechanic on creatures like Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, and Rendclaw Trow. By combining a persist creature with a free sacrifice outlet such as Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, or Ashnod's Altar, you generate infinite death and enter-the-battlefield triggers. Drain effects like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marionette Apprentice quickly convert these infinite sacrifice loops into lethal table-wide life loss.
