Deck overview

This deck is a five-color typal midrange control deck centered on Reaper King and the Changeling mechanic. Because creatures with changeling possess every creature type simultaneously, they trigger Reaper King's vindicate ability while benefiting from diverse typal lords including Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, Cosmic Spider-Man, and Dromoka, the Eternal. The primary game plan ramps into all five colors during the early turns, establishes Reaper King on Turn 5, and begins dismantling opposing boards on Turn 6 by chaining low-cost changeling creatures and token generators like Irregular Cohort and Belonging. Trigger multipliers such as Panharmonicon and Roaming Throne accelerate the attrition rate, while typal draw engines like Kindred Discovery and Distant Melody maintain card velocity. Without infinite combos, the deck closes games through combat damage with augmented shapeshifters or massive typal reanimation via Patriarch's Bidding and Living Death, surviving sweeps through broad recovery spells.
