Deck overview

This deck leverages the Friends Forever partner pairing of Wernog, Rider's Chaplain and Bjorna, Nightfall Alchemist to execute a four-color artifact-token aristocrats strategy. In the early game, dense 2-CMC mana rocks establish rapid color fixing and accelerate Wernog into play, generating an immediate cache of Clue tokens. The deck amplifies these tokens through engines like Academy Manufactor, Saheeli, Jewel of Avishkar, and Tivit, Seller of Secrets while using Bjorna and The Rani to goad threatening opposing creatures and manage table politics. As artifact counts swell, payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Impact Tremors convert every token creation and sacrifice into non-combat table-wide drain. Defensive staples such as Flawless Maneuver, Grand Crescendo, and targeted counterspells safeguard the board against wipes, allowing the engine to close out the game through unavoidable incremental burn and flying combat damage by Turn 8.
