pirates lyfe for me by Boogs69

Format: Commander

Commander: Edward Kenway

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis list is an Edward Kenway value-midrange deck that turns sideways with Assassins, Pirates, and Vehicles, converting combat into Treasures and exiled-card advantage. The plan is to develop a board of cheap Pirates and crewable Vehicles, attack aggressively to maximize Edward's end-step Treasure count, and then cash in that mana through opponents' cards, Vehicle combat triggers, or a dedicated Treasure payoff. There are no infinite combos; wins come from grinding out card and mana advantages, draining with Marionette Master and Mirkwood Bats, animating a board of Treasures with Cyberdrive Awakener, or reaching ten Treasures for Revel in Riches. Port Razer provides a burst of extra combats as an alternate closer. Edward is the engine rather than a combo piece, so the deck relies on him for velocity but can still function through the redundancy of the 99.
