Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is an aggressive synergy build focused on +1/+1 counters and spell-targeting mechanics like heroic, repartee, and valiant. The strategy centers on Abigale, Poet Laureate, whose prepared ability generates repeatable copies of Heroic Stanza whenever creature spells are cast. This mechanic triggers a dense suite of low-cost creatures such as Illuminator Virtuoso, Phalanx Leader, and Dusk Legion Duelist, rapidly growing a wide and resilient army. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by Turn 6 by granting shared combat keywords through lords like Abzan Falconer, Chocobo Knights, and Hagra Constrictor, or by resolving decisive finishers like Akroma's Will and Damning Verdict. While highly synergistic and capable of sustained card draw and board rebuilding, the deck relies heavily on creature combat, leaving it vulnerable to repeated sweepers and lacking stack-based interaction.
