Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity creature storm and combo strategy built around Animar, Soul of Elements. It leverages dense 1-drop mana dorks to deploy Animar reliably on Turn 2. The deck quickly accumulates +1/+1 counters on Animar using cheap utility creatures, mutate cards, and self-bouncing creatures like Shrieking Drake. Once Animar reaches four counters, Ancestral Statue reduces to {0} mana, creating a self-sufficient loop of casting, triggering enter abilities, and self-bouncing. This produces infinite counters on Animar and infinite creature casts. The deck converts this loop into an immediate table kill using Walking Ballista to deal direct damage, or through enter triggers from Agate Instigator and General Kreat, the Boltbringer. Creature-based tutors such as Transit Mage, Imperial Recruiter, and Fauna Shaman provide reliable access to combo pieces, while Beast Whisperer provides massive draw bursts to dig through the library.
