Ozai Hates Land - B5? by user7484551

Format: Commander

Commander: Ozai, the Phoenix King

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ozai, the Phoenix King is a Rakdos mana-combo deck that turns firebending triggers and rituals into a lethal extra-combat loop. The primary plan is to set up a mana engine and kill through repeated Aggravated Assault combats or a huge Exsanguinate/Torment of Hailfire. Secondary paths use Underworld Breach with Wheel of Fortune and Jeska's Will to draw and cast the win, or break parity with Blood Moon/Jokulhaups. Ozai himself is both engine and finisher: haste plus firebending 4 lets him attack the turn he lands, and six unspent mana grants flying and indestructible. Birgi, Neheb, Roku, and Zuko serve as supporting firebending engines; there is no separate hidden commander.
