Deck overview

This deck leverages the partner pairing of Kratos, Stoic Father and Atreus, Impulsive Son to execute a mid-tempo Jeskai Gods and combat strategy. Kratos rapidly accumulates experience counters by attacking with God creatures, growing your board exponentially with +1/+1 counters each end step. Atreus converts those accumulated experience counters into substantial card advantage and continuous burn against all opponents. Supported by heavy-hitting mythological deities such as The Locust God, Ilharg, the Raze-Boar, and Iroas, God of Victory, the deck builds an evasive, resilient combat presence. Because experience counters belong to the player, the card-draw engine recovers quickly from board disruption. However, the low land count (29 lands) and dependence on multiple creature attack steps make the deck vulnerable to early mana screw and sustained opposing board wipes.
