Smaug the Impenetrable by YutakaMushimura

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a high-velocity Rakdos combo deck built around turning noncombat damage into overwhelming Treasure production. Smaug possesses flying, haste, and indestructible, allowing it to withstand symmetric burn and damage sweepers. The primary game plan accelerates into Smaug using dense fast mana and rituals, then triggers its ability repeatedly with repeated damage engines like Pestilence, Pyrohemia, or Last Laugh. Each instance of noncombat damage produces Treasure tokens, enabling self-sustaining loops that yield infinite mana and death triggers. The deck converts this value into immediate victory through aristocrat drains like Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, or a lethal Torment of Hailfire.
