Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Blue Spellslinger Control deck piloted by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The strategy revolves around placing flood counters on lands whenever Eluge enters the battlefield or attacks, which provides cumulative cost reduction for the first instant or sorcery cast on every single turn. During early turns, the deck establishes an Island-heavy mana base and deploys Eluge on curve. By Turns 4 and 5, Eluge discounts powerful reactive spells like Sublime Epiphany, Cryptic Command, and Flow of Knowledge during opponents' turns, keeping the board manageable while replenishing cards. On Turn 6, the deck pivots into its win condition by casting high-impact extra turn spells such as Time Stretch, Nexus of Fate, and Walk the Aeons. The deck then closes the game through lethal commander damage, wide token swarms generated by Shark Typhoon and Talrand, Sky Summoner, or infinite turn loops with Elite Arcanist.
