Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses Grand Arbiter Augustin IV to establish a hard stax and taxation lock over the table. By combining Augustin's asymmetric cost reduction and taxation with Rule of Law effects, attack taxes, and mana denial, the deck severely restricts opposing spellcasting and tempo. Once opponents are constrained under stacked taxes such as Sphere of Resistance, God-Pharaoh's Statue, and Spelltithe Enforcer, you maintain board superiority with countermagic, spot removal, and sweepers. The deck wins by grinding down table life totals through evasive combat with large threats like Absolute Virtue and Consecrated Sphinx, or through God-Pharaoh's Statue passive bleed.
