Deck overview

This deck is an optimized cEDH Tempo and Combo build commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary strategy deploys low-cost evasive creatures on Turn 1 to enable a Turn 2 Commander Ninjutsu activation, putting Yuriko directly into play tapped and attacking. Yuriko's combat damage triggers draw cards and deal table-wide burn by revealing high-mana-value spells like Shadow of Mortality. The deck leverages this rapid card velocity and a deep tutor suite to assemble a compact win via Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, reliably closing the game on Turn 3. Because Commander Ninjutsu is an uncounterable activated ability that ignores commander tax, the engine boasts immense resilience. Backed by a dense package of free countermagic, flexible removal, and proactive hatebears like Opposition Agent, the list maintains overwhelming tempo while threatening instant victory.
