Deck overview

This Bant deck leverages Arcades, the Strategist to transform low-cost defender creatures into hyper-efficient card-drawing beatsticks. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through cheap ramp and deploying high-toughness walls like Wall of Omens and Overgrown Battlement. Once Arcades enters on turn 3 or 4, every subsequent defender cantrips, rapidly filling the hand while establishing an imposing board presence. The deck converts defensive stats into offensive lethal pressure on turns 5 to 6 using finishers such as Triumph of the Hordes, Akroma's Will, or unblockable support from Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive. It protects its board state with premier countermagic and phase/indestructible spells like Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention.
