Deck overview

This is a Golgari Wolf tribal midrange deck helmed by Chief of the Wilds. The plan is to flood the board with Wolf tokens and bodies, then leverage the commander's dual role as a growing menace threat and a trigger doubler for every other Wolf (and battle) ability. Token engines such as Hollowhenge Overlord, Master of the Wild Hunt, Howling Moon, and the Garruk planeswalkers build a wide board while lords and pumps (Howlpack Resurgence, Nightpack Ambusher, Overwhelming Stampede, Wolfir Silverheart) turn the pack lethal. There are no infinite combo lines; wins come from combat damage, often closed by a single overloaded swing. The commander is a powerful multiplier but not a hard gate-the 99 still produces Wolves and attacks without it. Secondary value comes from fight effects, selective exile via Sarulf, Realm Eater, and modest ramp into expensive finishers like Howl of the Night Pack.
