Deck overview

This Jeskai deck leverages Human tribal synergies and the Monarch mechanic under Aragorn, King of Gondor. The primary plan curves efficient low-mana Humans into Aragorn on Turn 4. Once Aragorn claims the Monarch, his attack trigger renders the entire attacking force unblockable, allowing wide boards to bypass blockers entirely. Anthem effects such as Flowering of the White Tree, Shared Animosity, and Erkenbrand, Lord of Westfold amplify the damage output, while token engines like Horn of Gondor and Éowyn, Shieldmaiden maintain continuous pressure. Card advantage is sustained through the Monarch draw step, The One Ring, and auxiliary draw triggers. The deck protects its engine using targeted defensive tools like Pippin, Guard of the Citadel and Bastion Protector, while disrupting opposing plans with efficient interaction and combat redirection like Taunt from the Rampart. The deck consistently applies lethal unblockable pressure by Turn 5 and closes games around Turn 7.
