Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius midrange strategy commanded by Niko, Light of Hope. Niko enters the battlefield creating Shard tokens that act as both card draw and copying vessels. The deck aims to deploy resilient nonlegendary creatures with powerful combat or enter-the-battlefield triggers, such as Battle Angels of Tyr, Hero of Bladehold, Riptide Gearhulk, and Archon of Sun's Grace. By activating Niko's ability, all existing Shards become copies of that creature for the turn, multiplying attack triggers and overwhelming the table. A robust blink package featuring Displacer Kitten, Soulherder, and Teleportation Circle generates continuous value while resetting utility creatures. Defensive enchantments like Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Sphere of Safety stall opposing aggression, while Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines shuts down opposing enter-the-battlefield effects. The deck closes games reliably around Turn 8 through scaled evasive combat damage.
