Commander: Azlask, the Swelling Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This five-color Eldrazi token deck helmed by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge leans into a swarm of colorless Spawn and Scion tokens, using them to generate experience counters through death triggers (the commander's own ability, plus Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Ezuri, Claw of Progress, Minthara, Merciless Soul, and Kelsien, the Plague). The primary win condition is activating Azlask's ability to pump the entire board, give the tokens indestructible and annihilator 1, and swing for a one-shot kill. Token doublers like Adrix and Nev, Twincasters and Reflections of Littjara accelerate the board, while Legion Loyalty provides myriad to spread the annihilation across all opponents. The deck also features a recursion subtheme with Cauldron of Essence and Spawnbed Protector, plus a handful of powerful value pieces like Echoes of Eternity and Glaring Fleshraker. It is a midrange, value-oriented deck that aims to outlast opponents through board presence and incremental advantage, rather than a fast combo finish.
