Deck overview

This Golgari deck transforms deathtouch creatures into devastating attrition tools using The Serpent Society. By establishing a low-curve suite of deathtouch creatures on early turns, the deck deploys its commander on Turn 3 and immediately begins weaponizing creature deaths. Whenever a deathtouch creature dies in combat or to a sacrifice outlet like Ashnod's Altar or Skullclamp, The Serpent Society forces every opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature. This asymmetric board suppression clears opposing battlefields while aristocrat staples like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Poison-Tip Archer drain life totals. Alternative win conditions like Fynn, the Fangbearer and Triumph of the Hordes exploit open boards to inflict lethal poison counters. Strong recurring card draw from Deathreap Ritual and Morbid Opportunist maintains resource superiority, while graveyard recursion through Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Victimize ensures swift recovery from board wipes.
