Deck overview

This deck leverages Loot, the Anomaly to turn negative-power penalties into offensive combat damage. By applying power-reducing auras and equipment such as Belbe's Armor, Greel's Caress, and Torment, Loot increases his effective combat output while keeping his toughness high. The deck combines this combat engine with evasion tools like Brotherhood Regalia and Whispersilk Cloak, alongside one-shot infect enablers like Phyresis and Tainted Strike for rapid eliminations. An aristocrats subtheme supplies sacrifice fodder for Loot's Threshold ability and fuels card draw engines like Skullclamp and Erebos, Bleak-Hearted. Additionally, the deck breaks parity on Ensnaring Bridge: because Loot's printed power is negative, he attacks through an empty hand while opposing attackers are locked out. Strong mono-black removal and free interaction protect the board as Loot eliminates opponents sequentially.
