Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain tribal and discard-midrange engine commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The strategy centers on deploying resilient Villain creatures, triggering repeatable connive abilities to filter cards and grow attackers, and burning opponents whenever land cards are discarded. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and low-cost synergy pieces like Currency Converter and Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord. By Turn 4, Doctor Doom enters the battlefield to grant menace and immediate connive triggers at combat. Midgame turns amplify this engine using token producers like Ultron, Unlimited and Madame Hydra, trigger doublers like Roaming Throne, and board-wide buffs from The Squadron Sinister. Discard payoffs like Cool but Rude and Archfiend of Ifnir apply steady table-wide life loss and creature suppression. Backed by cheap counterspells and flexible removal, the deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide, evasive combat damage and inevitable burn.
