Format: Commander

Commander: Pantlaza, Sun-Favored

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Pantlaza, Sun-Favored is the centerpiece of a Naya dinosaur midrange deck that uses its discover trigger to turn nearly every Dinosaur cast into free value. The primary plan is to ramp into Pantlaza, then chain dinosaurs through discover, cheat effects, and combat finders such as Gishath and Etali. The deck can win by overwhelming combat using haste enablers and Akroma's Will, or by assembling two independent loops: Apex Altisaur with Wrathful Raptors, or Zacama with Monk Gyatso. The mana base and draw package make it resilient to losing the first board, and mass blink effects protect the engine. This is a mid-speed value beatdown deck rather than an early combo deck.
