Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul control and attrition engine piloted by Erinis, Gloom Stalker and Street Urchin. The strategy centers on an oppressive commander synergy: because Erinis has deathtouch, the 1 damage ping granted by Street Urchin destroys any creature it targets for just one mana and a sacrificed artifact or creature. Erinis continually fuels this firing line by recurring artifact lands and fetchlands directly from the graveyard during every attack step. This creates an asymmetric creature lock that clears opposing commanders and utility creatures with ease. The deck leverages this dominant board control to safely introduce and protect Monarch and Initiative engines like Crimson Fleet Commodore and Avenging Hunter. With the board suppressed and card flow compounding, the deck converts its resource advantage into lethal combat damage through large trampling beaters. A dense suite of cheap protection spells safeguards Erinis against targeted removal, ensuring the attrition engine operates uninterrupted.
