Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Vampire tribal aggro-aristocrats list piloted by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate 1/1 black Vampire creature tokens for free whenever a Vampire spell is cast. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Vampires like Indulgent Aristocrat, Child of Night, and Stromkirk Occultist to flood the board with bodies. In the midgame, the deck leverages anthems such as Cathars' Crusade or casts Edgar Markov directly to pump the entire board with +1/+1 counters on attack. Secondary lifegain and drain synergies through Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Sanguine Bond whittle down opposing life totals while providing reach. A compact infinite drain combo between Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond offers an alternate win condition. The deck struggles with thin ramp and limited card draw, relying heavily on combat steps to close out the game.
