Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The game plan revolves around deploying Kuja early to generate 0/1 Wizard creature tokens on each end step. Once four Wizards are in play, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. The deck converts noncreature spells—ranging from cheap removal spells like Go for the Throat to Equipment like Black Mage's Rod—into direct damage that burns all opponents simultaneously. Supporting creatures such as Guttersnipe, Black Waltz No. 3, and Electro, Assaulting Battery accelerate the clock by adding supplemental damage and mana. While the deck boasts extensive creature removal and solid board wipes in Damnation and Blasphemous Act, its reliance on Kuja surviving across multiple turn rotations leaves it vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and sweepers.
