Format: Commander

Commander: Skanos Dragonheart and Dragon Cultist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul Dragon-tribal beatdown deck helmed by Skanos Dragonheart with Dragon Cultist as its Background. The core plan is to deploy a board of Dragons, grow Skanos off the greatest power among Dragons in play and in the graveyard, and convert that into a lethal combat step with a dense suite of power-doubling effects (Thrakkus the Butcher, Unnatural Growth, Two-Handed Axe, Choose Your Weapon). Dragon Cultist adds a steady stream of 4/4 flying Dragon tokens whenever the deck deals 5+ damage in a turn, while the supporting Backgrounds (Acolyte of Bahamut, Guild Artisan, Hardy Outlander, Master Chef, Raised by Giants) juice the commander. Secondary paths include Sarkhan the Masterless turning planeswalkers into Dragons, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames spreading attack damage, and Tiamat's Fanatics hitting every opponent with myriad. There are no infinite combos - this is a straightforward, high-power combat deck.
