Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Dimir Ninja Aggro-Burn strategy commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive, unblockable one-drop creatures on turn 1 to activate Yuriko's commander ninjutsu on turn 2. Because commander ninjutsu is an activated ability that bypasses both spell counterspells and the commander tax, Yuriko enters play reliably early and often. The deck leverages top-deck manipulation spells like Brainstorm, Portent, and Personal Tutor to stack cards with massive mana values such as Shadow of Mortality, Blinkmoth Infusion, and Temporal Trespass. When Ninjas deal combat damage, Yuriko flips these high-cost spells into hand while draining all opponents simultaneously. The deck supports this aggressive burn clock with efficient bounce, spot removal, and cheap countermagic to disrupt opposing game plans and preserve its evasive board state.
