Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis theft and control list commanded by Edea, Possessed Sorceress. It specializes in turning opposing resources into its own fuel. By stealing the best opposing creature every combat, Edea immediately applies pressure and creates card advantage whenever stolen creatures die. The list synergizes with blink effects like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Conjurer's Closet, which permanently retain stolen creatures under your control due to their specific wording. A robust suite of sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Tower, Soldevi Adnate, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare converts temporary threats into mana and cards. Supported by format-staple free interaction (Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, Deadly Rollick) and brutal asymmetric stax pieces (Opposition Agent, Ashiok, Dream Render, Portal to Phyrexia), the deck controls the pace of the game before finishing opponents with their own stolen armaments and scaling drain effects.
